PostHeaderIcon College Recruiting Support

As part of our commitment to our players and their families, we strive to expose each of our outstanding players to college recruiters and coaches.

Here is how we improve your chance of getting the scholarship you want …

  • Provide you with the proper training to become a great player
  • Select events where college coaches will be present and in recruiting mode
  • Assist you with college recruitment profiles and letter submissions to preferred colleges
All you have to do is …

  • Register to play on one of our teams and stay with our program … U10 and up.
  • Give us your best … practice & games.
  • Do well in school and let us know if you need some help with problem subjects. We don’t keep track of your grades, but we do have many players who are willing to help. Good grades are a first prerequisite for soccer scholarships.
  • Attend soccer camps hosted or recommended by Dothan United FC.
  • Stay on top of your recruitment profiles and communicate with us to keep you up to date.
  • Always present your self as a bright, competitive and mature (for your age) player with a great attitude.
  • Play soccer outside of our season – High School | Middle School | REC

When do we start?

We start to evaluate players on our U10 teams. We do not start to promote players to college recruiters until they are on their U16 team. U16 is generally a good year since players will receive added exposure from their high school programs. We have developed great relationships with local high school coaches.

College coaches can not recruit younger players, but it does help to keep players names and their profiles in front of them for few years prior to their Junior / Senior year. Start young for better chance of scholarships. Dothan United FC will help you along the way. All we ask is your full commitment to soccer and our program.
